The city also known as the Venice of the North, it is clear to see why Amsterdam has this name with 165 canals. And I have to say it is one of my favourite places to visit in Europe. My aim at the moment is to try and make it each country in Europe – I have this weird thing where I have to go to a new country for every year that I’ve been born, 23 and counting at the moment- and so for me Amsterdam was on my list of place. So many of my friends have visited and come back stating how great the city was and how relaxing and easy going the attitude towards life was there. And they weren’t wrong. Of course, I had my bucket list of places to go and visit however riding along the canals on a bike and getting lost also had a nice appeal to the thought.
As per usual, before I went I had been searching on Pinterest for things to do in Amsterdam, as one does before a holiday…and stumbled upon this bucket list that I thought was perfect. My aim was to try and complete everything on this list if I could.
I nearly completed all the list but it just gives me another reason to go back again and visit Amsterdam.
Rent A Bike
IAMSTERDAM Sign
Cheese
Rembrandt Square
Wander the Canals
Pancakes (and look edgy in a picture)
Admire the flowers
I absolutely loved my time in Amsterdam, it was so relaxed and free of mind and I would recommend anyone to go even if it was just for a day. I’ll definitely be returning on my travels.
I hope if you go you enjoy the city as much as I did.
Off on my next set of travels I go x
